Recipe Number 2

I was so excited about my first post the other day, I couldn't wait a week to do another one! So here we are yet again! I'm really trying to keep my recipes kid-friendly, especially since the majority of you following this blog have kids! If you like Sloppy Joes, you will LOVE this recipe. It's called Sloppy Joe Under a Bun. This recipe yields 8 servings.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 can Sloppy Joe sauce (I used Manwich-it's a full serving of veggies for those of you who have kids who refuse to eat them!)
2 cups (8oz) shredded cheddar cheese (I used Colby Jack b/c that's all I had and I shredded my own)
2 cups Bisquick
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

In a skillet, cook beef over med heat until no longer pink, drain.

Stir in sloppy joe sauce, mix well. At this point, I added left-over veggies.
Partly to get rid of them, partly to make the mixture a little more full.

Transfer to a lightly greased 13x9x2 in baking dish; sprinkle with cheese.
(sorry I forgot this picture!)

In a bowl, combine the bisquick, eggs and milk just until blended.

Pour over cheese; sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake, uncovered, for 25 min or until golden brown.

Hope you enjoyed my 2nd recipe! So far they have both been really easy recipes. Eventually I hope to work myself up to a little more complex recipes.

Happy Eating Friends!!!
